膝蓋手術後的生活

去年十一月,我正在等待進行膝關節半月板裂傷修復手術。 我知道自己是怎麼受傷的。經過多年打競爭激烈的橄欖球和拳擊的體力工作,基本上我的身體早就完蛋了,我的關節早已飽受摧殘。運動傷害迫使我退出比賽,最後造成我根本沒興趣上健身房或注意我的飲食。 這是老運動員共同的故事。 你受傷了,並且越來越難恢復從前的作息。你以為只要避免體力活動就能減輕疼痛,但事實上,你的生活品質卻開始降低,因為不管做什麼,你都不想讓你的傷勢更加惡化。 徒勞無功! 對我來說,動手術並沒有真正讓我從此奮發圖強,但總是一個讓我重得健康並回到賽場上的機會。就像一名被擊倒的拳擊手那樣,我必須藉著培養健康生活習慣和照顧自己的關節來使身體復元。 鍛煉是關鍵 如同任何健康方案一樣,你必須付諸行動。經過6週的物理治療後,我知道自己必須重新進入健身房。由於跑步或玩撿籃球的動作太過激烈,於是我選擇兩種能確實提高我心率又不太激烈的活動—游泳和舉重。 一開始很難。雖然我現在將會終生游泳,但是在泳池裡的第一次來回,卻彷彿沒完沒了。結果,我又再度被擊倒,沉到池底。 重新作仰臥推舉是一大步。我發現自己在經過長時間休息之後,狀況跟手術前相差不遠,這種感覺真好。舉重能帶給人力量,也能幫助人產生對自己身體的信心。短短幾個星期我就開始感受到其成果;我感覺更好、更強壯、也更有自信。 伸展筋骨 一段時間後,我發現像伸展身體這種小動作對我的鍛煉影響很大。即使只是5至10分鐘的輕度伸展,也能夠提高我在健身房的表現,並極大程度減少我受傷的機會。伸展對我的關節真的有幫助,不只能讓它們有充分活動的範圍,還能增加肌肉的血流量。 即使不在健身房,我每天也會做些伸展動作。如果你像我一樣整天粘在辦公桌,那就盡量每隔30分鐘左右起身一次,伸展一下手、腳和背部;這樣做確實有助於減少久坐辦公桌所造成的僵硬。而最棒的是,它真的能讓你停下工作喘一口氣。暫停手邊所有事情之後,我覺得總是能讓自己更有精神、更專注。 注意減重 超重對關節會造成大影響。根據Stephen Messier博士的說法,即使減重一磅,也會減少你膝蓋多達四磅的壓力。這很有道理。你需要減掉的重量越少,你的身體的活動就越輕鬆。 很快我就發現自己運動越多,就越有興趣運動。我的身體變得更強壯,而當我體重減輕時,重回健康過程也會輕鬆許多。最重要的是,感覺自己變輕,我就更想回到健身房了。 改變飲食習慣 即使不是科學家,你也知道自己吃得更好,身體也會感覺更好。我下決心吃富含鈣質、維生素C、和omega-3脂肪酸的飲食,結果發現到這樣也有助於與關節不適相關的發炎、僵硬、和腫脹。 像羽衣甘藍、花椰菜、甜菜、生杏仁、酸奶、辣椒、和漿果這些食物都能提供適當的營養素,有助於關節保健。而且,這些有助關節保健的食物味道棒極了。簡單配上杏仁和辣椒的羽衣甘藍沙拉既好吃,又能為我下午的鍛煉提供額外的能量。 服用健骼寧® 即使有了健康飲食,補充葡萄糖胺對支援和維護健全的關節功能還是很有用的。這也是我把健骼寧®納入我個人的我的健康套裝™,作為優化劑之一的原因。健骼寧是素食葡萄糖胺、維生素C、Meriva®†生物可利用薑黃素、和其他營養素的獨特混合物,可支援最理想的關節健康和功能* 每天服用兩次健骼寧,有助於體內製造蛋白多醣,這是一種蛋白質分子,與水結合時,能潤滑並緩衝關節,有助於維持軟骨健康。 我服用健骼寧後,覺得自己更強壯也更有自信,尤其喜歡它是素食原料所製成的。 關節疼痛並沒有減緩我的生活步調 經過膝蓋手術後,我的生活變得更好。修復我的膝蓋半月板,並掌控自己的健康,是最好的決定。保持規律運動、良好的伸展動作、適當的飲食、和服用健骼寧,手術後的生活感覺空前的好。 請將您對健骼寧如何融入您生活的體驗告訴我們。我們很想知道您如何從手術後復元。 參考資料:  來源:Messier, S. i, July 2005; vol 52: pp 2026-2032.
